Not-Just-For-Kids Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Bacon

What else to make with leftover cooked bacon? Did you freeze it? As a proper Bacon Scouts Mascot, I wanted to share my favorite leftover-bacon-for-lunch-or-dinner recipes. Also check my recent post for my favorite leftover bacon breakfast sandwich.

This is another bacon meal idea which is so simple, but so good! Got leftover cooked bacon? In a hurry? Be a star chef with the kids, family, friends, neighbors, etc. and make this for dinner!Heres how to make it:Step 1: Butter both slices of bread.Image1150 Step 2: Add slice(s) of cheese (cheddar, Swiss, Monterey jack; it's your choice) to one slice of bread, on the unbuttered side.Image1151 Step 3: Add the cooked bacon. If you froze your cooked bacon to store it, thaw first. I used Woods Smoked Meats Honey BBQ Flavored Bacon for these fantastic ones! To cook your bacon, try this bake bacon in the oven method.Image1152 Step 4: Stack the other slice of bread, butter-side up onto the frying pan or griddle over medium-high heat; and cook both sides of sandwich for about 2 minutes on each side, or until toasted to a golden color with cheese melted on the inside. Yum!Image1153 Step 5: Enjoy! Is that your stomach growling?Image1148Your faithful bacon-loving Bacon Scouts Mascot,Pip the PigPip gravatar
