The United States consumes a lot of bacon. In fact, more than 1.7 million pounds is served in food service alone (restaurants). In America, the southern part of the country consumes the most bacon at more than 600 million pounds annually. That's a whole lot of bacon!

10. Atlanta, Georgia It's no surprise that this major Southern city is in the top ten list. Bacon is huge in the Southern United States.
9. Fort Worth, Texas. Forth Worth was once known as leading cattle center of America. Now it is the one of the top bacon-eating places in the whole country. This isn't the only place in Texas that loves its bacon, however.
8. Charleston, South Carolina Technically all of South Carolina loves bacon, but I chose the capital of Charleston to represent the state. One of the largest hog producing states is right next door in North Carolina, so there is a lot of supply nearby to feed their massive appetite for bacon.
7. Houston, Texas. Another big Texas city makes the list for eating the most bacon. However, this still isn't the last Texas city on this list.
6. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The city of brotherly love is a huge lover of bacon. Maybe they should change their name to Bacondelphia.
